Review of Viva Quetzal
The instrumentation of this group is intriguing. Whatever the actual instruments they play, I heard them as an acoustic Andean sound mixed with more mainstream instruments such as electric guitar and sax. Their pieces Ive heard are melody-driven with an energizing sweep to them and sometimes a reflective shadow of melancholy.
